Know where your visual-test data goes.

Difora is operated by Missus GmbH in Graz, Austria. Screenshot comparison and storage use EU-owned infrastructure. Your capture environment and connected services are separate choices to include in your assessment.

The screenshot workflow, step by step

  1. Your CI captures. Your browser renders the app and writes PNGs. You control the runner, its location, test data and any CI artifacts.
  2. Difora compares. The upload goes over TLS to Difora. Application processing and managed database run on UpCloud in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  3. Difora stores. Screenshot objects and backups use private UpCloud storage in Frankfurt, Germany. Review of full screenshots requires authenticated access.
  4. Your team decides. Members inspect diffs and approve or reject changes. Optional integrations receive configured build metadata.

Check sharing separately

Public PR thumbnails are off by default. Enabling them creates public preview URLs; repository image proxies may cache those previews outside the EU. Full screenshots remain authenticated. See PR/MR comments and preview sharing.

Screenshot infrastructure does not establish the location of every service in your workflow. Assess your CI provider, repository host, notifications, email and billing separately using the privacy policy and the current agreements.

Review the actual terms

An organization owner reviews and accepts the terms and DPA in Agreements before the first upload. The accepted version is downloadable. Check the listed subprocessors, retention and deletion rules against your intended data before uploading.

These infrastructure facts do not certify your application or settle your legal requirements. Difora does not offer SSO/SAML or audit-log export. The feature limits help you assess fit before a pilot.

Start with a controlled screenshot set

Use non-sensitive test data and a CI runner you have approved. Create one project, store its upload token as DIFORA_TOKEN in the CI secret store and capture a complete set of PNGs. Upload only the intended generated directory:

Review the first build and repeat the same capture after approving its baseline. The Free plan includes one project and 5,000 submitted snapshots per month, including unchanged ones. See current plans and usage accounting.
