Review the areas that changed
Find a change, inspect its context, then decide which snapshots to accept.
Open a changed snapshot in a build. The comparison viewer offers side by side, diff, current, onion and swipe views, with zoom and pan. Approval updates that snapshot’s baseline on the build’s branch. Rejection keeps the change awaiting a new decision.
Jump to a change region
Expand Change regions above the viewer. Each entry shows its width and height in screenshot pixels, its changed-pixel count and its position. Nearby changed pixels form a region; its rectangle may contain unchanged pixels too.
- Select a region to center and zoom into it in Diff view.
- Use the previous and next buttons, or N and P while the image has keyboard focus.
- Toggle Show outlines to see region bounds in Diff and Side by side views.
- Dimension changes have separate dashed regions for the added or missing canvas bands.
The list shows at most the 64 largest regions and states the full count when there are more. Very complex comparisons may report that region analysis is unavailable. Older comparisons have no region list until they are compared again. Ignored pixels are excluded from region counts; saved ignore rules remain available through Ignore regions.
Review identical changes together
When multiple snapshots in one comparison have exactly matching changed areas, the list groups them under Identical change. Expand the header to inspect each member. The first member, or your selected member, stays visible when the group is collapsed.
Groups require the same region shapes, raw changed pixels, exact baseline and current pixels inside the regions, and recorded capture and comparison settings. Positions on the page may differ. A visually similar change is not enough. Some comparisons, including regions intersecting an ignore mask, remain ungrouped when exact evidence is unavailable.
Approve group and Reject group show the number of eligible snapshots. Confirmation states the count included and how many eligible members are hidden by filters. Group decisions include those hidden members. Each member retains its own images, discussions, decision and branch baseline.
Search, status and variant filters still apply to individual snapshots. The group header shows matching and total membership. Select visible selects all eligible snapshots matching those filters, including members of collapsed groups. Per-snapshot approval and rejection remain available. Approved members are excluded from subsequent group decisions.
If another review or rerun changes the group while you are deciding, the request is rejected without applying a partial decision. Refresh the comparison and inspect the updated membership before trying again.
Keep the original comparison in view
Earlier discussions preserve their original images, settings and region evidence. The region list is labeled historical; group decisions are available only on the current comparison.
Regions and groups help you review. They never approve changes automatically or alter pixel thresholds, ignored areas, classification, screenshot usage or CI exit codes. No client upgrade is required to use them.
